  • Seek professional advice from the Department of Social Welfare or the police if you suspect that abuse has taken place
  • Report any abuse that has taken place by calling 15999
  • Participate in greater debate on the issue and share information about abuse to raise awareness
  • Volunteer to spend more time with your children and spend quality time with your families
  • Encourage the Government, civil society organisations and community groups to organise outreach and support groups for adult survivors of child abuse
