  • Attend awareness events such as talks, seminars or workshops to learn more about how to recognise and prevent child abuse
  • Familiarise yourselves with support services available in your locality or city, and know whom to call should the need arise
  • Seek professional advice and counselling on prevention of child abuse, parenting and child development from the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development agencies such as LPPKN and the Department of Social Welfare, should the need arise
  • Get together to share, discuss and raise awareness about the costs of child abuse
  • Get together to organise and participate in programmes on parenting and parental responsibilities, child development and prevention of child abuse
  • Strengthen support for families by organising and encouraging families to participate in community or district programmes on family development and family wellness
